Our client is an exciting product based software company. They currently hold contracts with a number of industries. This role is based in Greater Belfast.

The Role:

To develop software based designs and implement these designs for bespoke hardware solutions. The role includes capturing the requirement, developing the design, implementing the solution and providing test frameworks to support the hardware test plans and subsequent creation of user documentation. Projects are developed as part of a team, with effective communication between the stake holders and the integrated development team an essential part of the role.

Job duties:

• To develop as required compiled code in C and C++ for a range of hardware to include but not exclusively, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Embedded CE, and Microchips range of 16 and 32bit MCU's.
• To provide documentation to support the development of the software, including change records, design technical notes, test specifications and test results.
• To maintain accurate records for projects and to effectively communicate these internally and, where applicable, to external stake holders.

You:

• The individual must have a 2:1 or higher degree level (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant subject: Software Engineering; Electronics Design; or Electronics Engineering, with good A-level results.
• The individual must also have professional experience of software design with C, C++ or C# within Windows^TM or C in an embedded environment such as Microchips MCU family.
• Good communication skills, written and oral, are an essential for this role.

Some travel is an expected aspect of this role, both nationally and internationally, the individual would benefit from having a valid UK driving license and a willingness to travel.
