With some of the world's largest banking and finance companies as their clients they are opening a new EMEA development centre in Belfast this summer. As part of their first round of recruitment we are looking for a Java Developer. - Must have 3+ years of programming experience in Web Application Development with strong front end development skills
Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JSTL, Struts, JMS, Java Security) , HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, XML, XSLT - Experience developing software on application Servers like IBM Websphere/BEA Weblogic/Oracle App. Server etc.
- Should be familiar with Object Oriented design/development concepts.
- Should be familiar with relational DB concepts and be fairly fluent with SQL
- Ability to use Design Patterns/ Best Practices
- Experience in writing test cases and test plans
- Familiarity with source code control concepts. (VSS,CVS,PVCS etc) & SDLC life cycle
- Background with domain expertise in banking & financials is preferable.
- Must have strong presentation development and delivery skills.
- Strong team player, initiative and self-motivating, able to manage stressful situations & negotiate.
- Ability to respond under pressure to many demands
