WPR has been tasked with recruiting an Area Planning Manager for our client, a world leader in building contracting and currently increasing its presence (and projects) in the Greater MENA area. You will be a high calibre Planning Professional seeking to take your career to the next level with one of the leading names in global construction. Responsibilities: - Develop the Strategy of Project Execution to meet the Project Targets.
- Represent at Client's Interviews and win bids.
- Prepare the Project Baseline Programme as per contractual requirements and get the Engineer's approval.
- Preparation of associated programmes (procurement schedule, shop drawing & material submission schedule etc).
- Prepare Resource Histograms, Labour forecasts and other Critical Indicator reports.
- Review & Approve Subcontractors programmes.
- Initiation/ Responding to all Planning/ Time related correspondence to Engineer/ Subcontractor.
- Develop and maintain project monitoring system through weekly and monthly reports (internal and external reports).
- Alert Project Manager with key issues affecting Progress.
- Attend the co-ordination meetings with Engineer/ subcontractors.
- Develop Productivity Monitoring system and Review productivity of labours and equipments.
- Prepare Time impact programmes to substantiate/support claims.
Qualification & Experience: - Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 20 years solid experience in Construction Planning, preferably in a reputable construction company and minimum 3 years UAE experience.
- Expert in Primavera (P3 & Primavera 6) and MS office.
- Excellent in Written and Spoken English is a MUST.
